OUR IMPACT

Vortex Fire is honored to contribute to the City of Toronto's latest affordable housing initiative, which aims to create 1,000 new modular homes in Toronto.

The planned three-story modular housing building at 175 Cummer Avenue, adjacent to Willowdale Manor, Toronto, is a crucial part of this initiative. The building will feature 60 self-contained studio apartments, each equipped with a twin bed, a private eat-in kitchen, and a bathroom. Additionally, the building will house a laundry facility, a kitchen and dining room, program space, and administrative offices. Designed to support individuals transitioning out of homelessness, this project represents a significant step towards addressing the housing needs of vulnerable populations in the city.

Vortex Fire has played a key role in this project as the Building Code Consultant, ensuring that the building meets all necessary codes and regulations, and providing expertise to support the success of this vital community initiative.
