The Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) at Al Maktoum International Airport is located in Dubai World Central in Jebel Ali approximately 37 km south west of Dubai. The existing Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) at Al Maktoum International Airport was to be expanded. This existing building was designed in 2006 and commenced operational in 2013.
The extent of expansion includes additional departures, concourse, arrivals and baggage handling areas on the ground floor. The mezzanine floor extension includes new CIP/VIP lounges, offices and F&B areas.
Vortex Fire was responsible in updating the fire strategy for the existing areas and developing the fire strategy for the new areas of the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB).
