Newton’s Grove School

Newton’s Grove School in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada moved into its new permanent location in December 2017. The development required the transformation of an existing two storey industrial building into a progressive private school for kindergarten to grade 12 students.

Vortex Fire served as the building code and accessibility consultant for the change of use from an industrial building to a school. This required careful analysis of the existing structure under Part 11 of the Ontario Building Code and collaboration with the architect to integrate key design features and maximize natural light.
